The Parish Council of Hockley Heath (HHPC) is a statutory consultee on all planning applications within the Parish boundary. This means that Solihull Council must inform the Parish Council of planning applications within the Parish and consider HHPC’s response. However, irrespective of the Parish Council’s comments, Solihull Council will determine whether to approve or reject applications based upon their local and national planning policies.
Planning applications within the Parish will be listed on the Parish Council meeting agendas on a monthly basis. Any member of the public can comment on a planning application during a public Parish Council meeting. Alternatively, you can contact the Parish Council of Hockley Heath via the Clerk at hhpc2009@hotmail.com. The Parish Council will not forward individual comments from members of the public to Solihull Council’s Planning Officers, therefore if you wish the Planning Officer at SMBC to be aware of your specific comments regarding any application then please also respond directly via Solihull Council’s Planning Portal Search for Planning and Building Control applications | solihull.gov.uk.
